We’re really proud of the team that we have and can honestly say that we all work very well together. This is important to us. For this reason, we’re very selective when it comes to hiring. But this selectiveness is based on attitude and personality as much as it is on experience and skills.   • CY2 was founded in the Netherlands. Our head office is in the south of the country in Den Bosch.
  • Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, a hybrid WFH model was normal for our employees living in the Netherlands. Dutch employees can work from Den Bosch, though most of us work from home. About half of our employees live and work outside the Netherlands. For that reason, we don’t have a strong “office culture,” so the right candidate(s) must be comfortable and satisfied with a large degree of remote work
  • For applicants from outside the EU, please note that CY2 cannot sponsor EU work visas. With the exception of the United Kingdom, if you apply from outside the EU, you must be set up to work as an independent contractor from your country of residence. We cannot provide you assistance in relocating to the Netherlands or the EU. Currently we are working with contractors in the United States, Morocco and the Philippines. We have both contractors and employees in the United Kingdom.
  • Before the pandemic, our Functional Consultants and some of our Technical Consultants traveled A LOT. We’re not sure how much travel will be necessary after the pandemic, but some travel will be likely, especially for employees outside the Netherlands.
  • Our company has a fairly flat structure. We don’t have a complicated system of managers and supervisors. If you work with us, you must manage your time well and stay on top of your projects.
  • Campus Solutions is Oracle’s ERP solution for higher education institutions. It supports the student from application to graduation. It’s capable of a lot, which also means that it takes time to learn. If you have worked with Campus Solutions and/or PeopleSoft, you know that you don’t learn it from a book. You won’t be an expert after only one year. If you want to join the team with no prior PeopleSoft experience, no problem! Just prepare yourself to spend the next year learning the system. Don’t worry, we’ll help you.
  • Do you have PeopleSoft experience? Our philosophy is to keep things as “vanilla” whenever we can. If we do build something for a client, we extend the system rather than customize it. We’re currently working in PeopleTools 8.58 and 8.59. Our developers are comfortable working with Application Packages, Integrations, Activity Guides and Fluid.

  • Periodic raises based on performance. The more you learn and can do, the more your salary will increase.
  • We start with a 3-month trial period during which you will follow an in-house training which will be tailored to your knowledge and skills. After this period we’ll have an evaluation. If we work well together, your contract will be changed to a permanent one.
  • 35 vacation days, which includes the national holidays of your country of residence
  • Laptop and any gear you need to do your job (i.e headset, second screen, etc.)

  • Hybrid WFH model. Employees in the Netherlands can decide for themselves how many days a week they work from our head office in Den Bosch, just a stone’s throw from the central train station.

  • An education in computer science or similar is not a must, but an appropriate attitude and good analytical thinking skills are.
  • Programming related education or experience, or similar experience is required
  • You have between 0 and 15 years of work experience.
  • Affinity with and experience in education and IT. Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus – especially Oracle and/or PeopleSoft systems.
  • Experience in one of these programming languages is not a must, but an advantage: Peoplecode, SQL
  • Language: Professional competency in English is required. Competency in another language is desirable, especially Dutch, Spanish, French, Arabic or Danish.

Job Specifics
You will be working to help implement and/or maintain the Student Information System (SIS) for our new and existing clients. We are also developing our own bolt-on products with which you may be asked to assist. The language of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions is Peoplecode. We don’t expect all applicants to be knowledgeable about Peoplecode and we are prepared to offer a traineeship to the right applicant.

For those with Peoplecode experience, our developers frequently work with Application Packages, Activity Guides, Integrations and Fluid.

Job Specifics
As a functional consultant within our company you are responsible for developing, setting up and maintaining solutions for our customers who use the SIS Oracle Campus Solutions. This happens during implementation projects but also on a smaller scale at our customers where we are responsible for the management of the SIS.


You take stock of the wishes of the customer and make proposals for improvement. During the inventory you actively help write the functional design and assist at the implementation level. As a functional consultant you develop a specialized knowledge of the system, which enables you to transfer your knowledge and skills to our customers during implementations, presentations and training sessions. The work will be carried out from different workplaces: our office, at the customer’s office and from your home workplace.

Startsalaris

In Nederland zijn we op zoek naar een functioneel consultant. Vanuit deze rol, zul je dagelijks contact hebben met onze klanten, onderwijsinstellingen die verschillende niveaus van onderwijs aanbieden, om hen te ondersteunen in het implementeren en onderhouden van de verschillende onderdelen in hun studenten administratiesysteem.

Voor deze functie en alle functies bij CY2 zoeken we mensen met een proactieve, ik wil graag aanpakken-houding. Je hebt affiniteit met (hoger) onderwijs en ICT. Verder ben je bereid in jezelf te investeren, snel kennis op te doen en toe te passen in het werkveld.

Je hebt een afgeronde HBO/WO opleiding of MBO met gerichte werkervaring.

Een opleiding in informatica of vergelijkbaar is geen must, wel een passende houding en goed analytisch denkvermogen.

Affiniteit met en ervaring in onderwijs en ERP-systemen is een pluspunt.

Functie omschrijving

Als functioneel consultant ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen, opzetten en onderhouden van oplossingen voor onze klanten die gebruik maken van de SIS Oracle Campus Solutions. Dit gebeurt tijdens implementatietrajecten maar ook op kleinere schaal bij onze klanten waar wij verantwoordelijk zijn voor het beheer.

Je inventariseert de wensen van de klant , formuleert dit in een functioneel ontwerp, waarna je samen met je technische collega’s, zorgdraagt voor de uitwerking en implementatie. Als functioneel consultant ontwikkel je gespecialiseerde kennis van het systeem, waardoor je jouw kennis en kunde kunt overdragen aan onze klanten tijdens implementaties, presentaties en trainingen. De werkzaamheden worden uitgevoerd vanuit verschillende werkplekken: bij ons op kantoor, bij de klant en vanuit jouw thuiswerkplek.
